I have been working at UniFirst full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great atmosphere and good people. I love how its family owned and operated and the CEO will be in touch at somepoint with all employees. Very hands on! Really like to hire from within if possible. Willing to relocate employees if promoted.

    Cons

There is a major lack of communication between GM's and branch managers. I think the hiring of managers is horrible and from my experince has not been something that has lead to success at my location. GM's think they know sales when they come from service (which is sooooo not the case)!

    Advice to Management

Really take the time to choose the right management for a location. Sometimes I feel like I tell the manager how to run our branch and direct them as to how to deal with situations. I think a Branch Manager should come from both sales and service and posess leadership qualities. Also, I think sales reps should get paid for everything they sell including GPP or GMP. Have to say I dont offer it bc of this reason!

    Advice to Management
