I have been working at UniFirst

    Pros

The job did have a decent pay for the type of work that it was.

    Cons

This company doesn't know the meaning of work life balance.

    Advice to Management

Find a way to reduce, or hopefully eliminate, all of the shortages.

    Pros

Well established company with years of consistent growth. The training program is among the best, training team is superb. Great on your resume for future employment.

    Cons

The pay is not considered by market and if you are on East Coast, good luck getting by. Impossible to attract talent because of it and if you do attract them, they will leave when someone else offers them more money. Managers are grossly underpaid and are not given the freedom to excel unless it's only by using proven failed UniFirst metrics and processes.

    Advice to Management

Ron Croatti - stop taking $20mm bonuses and actually pay the people that deserve it and maybe you won't continuously lose your top talent. Upper Management, understand that just because it's not done your way does not mean it isn't going to work. The company needs new blood and bad!
