I have been working at UniFirst full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Achievements and hard work acknowledged.
Upward and lateral mobility.
My opinion matters and my work ethic is matched by upper management.
Compensation, car allowance, stocks and health benefits.

Cons

All locations are not run the same.
Service teams and sales teams need to work closer together.
Don't allow mediocre middle managers to remain in position. Have clear and measurable expectations to get them on the right path or out the door.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cross train service and sales teams at the same meetings. Get more involved in "the trenches".

    Pros

Unifirst has been very good to me over the years. This is truly a company were you can go anywhere in if you are willing to work hard and dont settle for the average. They love to pay there sales rep for all there work and have one of the best training programs in the industry or for that matter any industry that involves sales.

    Cons

This is a highly HUNTER sales position and focused company.

I worked at UniFirst full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Some opportunity for advancement, decent pay and laid back culture (family atmosphere).

    Cons

Old school in terms of the sales and service processes and greatly needs an overhaul. Managers lack training, keen business acumen and education. The company may need to consider bringing in more M.B.A grads and experienced M. B. A managers who can be a catalyst for growth and overall company (or branch) growth. Additionally, a move toward providing current century sales and methodologies would help improve sales and reduce turnover.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on technological growth and consider bringing in lean six sigmas philosophic ideas to improve efficiencies.
