Pros

I reported to excellent managers. Great plans at the top that don't seem to filter down- truly a loss.

Cons

No farm league. Future quite uncertain due to a miserable business climate. Way too much unnecessary travel in light of how difficult business is, the expense and lost time doing it.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop letting go of great, dedicated talent. Retrain, reposition, motivate people who truly want to be a part of "Big Red".

    Pros

Great co-workers. Team effort. Evolving company that made hard choices before most recent economic downturn. Management an staff saed the compny from ruin. It was in the red, it is now in the black.

    Cons

In the effort to save the company, thousands of workers lost their jobs. Many were near retirement age. The community culture that existed was lost when so many people were laid off.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management: cut the executive level expenses, rebuild he customer base, expand and rehire.
Avoid the race to the bottom mentality of never trying togrow the business.
