Pros

Travel priviledges at leading global airline. Immediate supervisors were genuinely engaged at making the process better. The company has all the tools to become a leading force in the industry.

Cons

It is a big organization. As such there are definitely turf wars between divisions among senior leadership. The process of integrating the legacy United and Continental operations have surfaced some major issues. With in the company the sense of urgency to complete the integration have glossed over some major issues that need to be addressed.

Advice to Management

There are some really talented people who are providing some common sense solutions to major issues. Listen to them.

    Pros

Flying benefits and 401k savings plan

    Cons

No retirement plans for Chelsea employees, people just do whatever they want in United its not what you know BUT who you know and who you sleep with. Managers just dont have the slightest clue as to how to run a business. They are scared of their employees. Very poor manners and education.

    Advice to Management

go back to school and learn how to treat people with dignity and respect!

    Pros

Challenging work. Great people who really care about the industry, company and coworkers. Company is genuinely working to make things better all over the company. Lots of people have been here a long time.
Travel priviledges are the best perk! Solid benefits package.

    Cons

Cyclical industry (although we are starting to level this out as an industry). Sometimes, the long tenures of employees can be a negative. Many of these long-term employees are cynical and would rather complain and cast blame than do their little part to make the company better.

    Advice to Management

Keep communicating openly to let the cynics know about the good the company is doing. Don't let the 'jerks' drag the rest of the company down with them.
