Pros

Many good employees that have good skills and work hard. If you can get time off the travel benefits are good. However, getting the time off and the probability of getting stuck somewhere traveling standby are real and becoming more of fact of working for an airline, so if you want to travel you have to buy a ticket.

Cons

Management is disconnected from the product, the customers, the employees and the investors. Management does not have leadership skills and manages through intimidation and lawsuit. There is no career path for most of the employees and the job security is terrible. Under the current management team 50,000 employees have lost their jobs, UA employees and retiries have lost their pensions, Investors have lost their money, because of UA's bankruptcy and terrible stock performance... and top management still gave the top 5 Senior Officers $100 million is bonuses.
