Anyone looking to "get rich" in the airline industry needs a wake up call! JetBlue wages are about average. The flight benefits can add up. If you have a family of four and take two vacations a year, you could easily spend $1500 - $5000+ on flights (depending on dates/locations). JetBlue has shift bids that allow you to select the days you'd like to work. As you gain seniority, you are more likely to get your first choice in shifts. You get paid time off, can trade shifts with others and can sometimes take volunteered time off (essentially--not work your shift). There are opportunities to move to other departments and roles. The best employees are rewarded. The worst usually quit or get fired.
