I worked at United Airlines full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Large Global company with many opportunities.

Cons

The Continental management style does not carry over well to run the largest airline in the world. Too many decision are made at the Senior levels. When running a very large organization - Management needs to trust and delegate decision making to managers and directors.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Develop a new corporate culture - don't force the old Continental culture on United.

I have been working at United Airlines full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

There must be one but I can't think of it

    Cons

Incompetent management who worry more about ways they can get more pay than how to operate an airline. Don't have enough front line employees and don't let them make decisions without consulting supervisors. Management not committed to running a world class airline to compete with international carriers

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cut your ranks in half. To much overhead and to much incompetence. Need more front line employees that are trained and empowered to do their job.
