United Airlines Supervisor - Airport Operations:   (Current Employee)

Pros

Good flight benefits, when you can get on a plane.

Cons

Job security is always an issue and stressful to ones life and home life. Extremely dysfuntional pay scale system. Most of the employees have placed their heart and soul in to this company only to have their face slapped for doing so. Retirement package was taken away and benefits reduced. Management is required to pay 20% of their benefit cost while union employees do not. Yes, management does get a bonus at the end of the year but it never covers the cost of the benefits. Confusing and conflicting goals are difficult to obtain as all of them are a priority which means none are a priority. Fuel hedging is out of control, buy high instead of buying low. Senior leadership takes a back seat to employee and customer complaints, leading to a poor product.

Advice to Senior Management

Consistency.
