I worked at United Airlines as a contractor (more than 3 years)

Pros

Stable environment (post-merger).
Relaxed culture in Houston (more formal in Chicago).
Free flights are a great employee benefit, but there's a lot of senior people ahead of new hires for free seats.

Cons

Slow-moving as an organization, without the skills and expereince necessary in some middle management IT to make effective change happen quickly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Update your software programs and have a good working environment. Except for the Headquarters, the work area is crappy.
