I have been working at United Blood Services

Pros

Going home knowing I made a difference. I work with really great people and the CO really seems to care. Benifits are good and for the most part I dont dread work.

Cons

Can be stressful if you let it, communication needs work, sometimes people are to concerned with number one and not with the company.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Check on upper management more often, sometimes things are going on you dont know about!!

I have been working at United Blood Services full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Knowing you are helping others; a sense of a common purpose everyone is working toward; teamwork

    Cons

Constant changes; seems management doesn't have a true feel for what goes on in the centers/mobiles and so what looks good on paper doesn't always apply to what's really happening.

I worked at United Blood Services as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

I was able to learn everything from how to write a press release to TV and radio interview etiquette and how to publicly promote special events. The other employees were extremely nice and willing to help.

    Cons

Working onsite at blood drives could get pretty boring. There was also a fair amount of driving involved. The pay was low and the internship only lasted for a summer.
