    Pros

From multitasking to specializing UBM taught to be a fighter and never get defeated. it helped me to set goals and win over targets within deadlines successfully.

    Cons

Because Ubm had many verticals and less manpower while my stay, it was a bit difficult but that made me aggressive

Lots of different titles and events leads to a very "hotch-potch" feel to the whole

I worked at United Business Media full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, I went off on maternity leave twice while working at UBM and they were very flexible with my hours to ease me back in.

    Cons

Very frustrating budgeting and reporting structures. Takes ages to get project approved. Large office politics that don't necessarily fit in with the small publication or event that you are working on at that time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Concentrating on events is the right thing to do but try redistributing the talented employees you have before recruiting new ones.
