Pros

Large company with matured processes and products. Lots of opportunity for advancement and challenging work prior to the end of the Space Shuttle Program. Overall great management team in Florida.

Cons

Typical government contractor aerospace environment - customer-driven requirements were sometimes unrealistic and frankly didn't make good business sense, but good pay and good co-workers and managers more than made up for it.

Advice to Management

Advice to member company management - you had a well-run company that you didn't have to lift a finger to manage and you reaped millions from it. Where's the business sense in shutting them down? It certainly didn't gain you anything.

    Pros

The management and employees were very dedicated in their job performance while working on the NASA Space Shuttle and Ares program.

    Cons

The only con is that United Space Alliance did not acquire additional contracts after the completion of the NASA Shuttle and Ares Program and will be closing their doors soon.

    Pros

Good company to work for overall. They place integrity, work ethic and customer satisfaction at the top of their priorities.

    Cons

As the economy worsens, so do the benefits. But when the company started, the benefits were great! In addition, the workforce is still in the dark about the future of the company, that is, whether the joint Boeing-LM venture will be dissolved or not.
