I worked at United States Department of Energy full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Benefits were good, such as education reimbursement, health, dental, etc.

Cons

Resistent to change, and slow to position employees internally. Hiring new employees was also pretty slow which lead to increased work loads and little acknowledgement or compensation changes.
