Former Employee - Congressional Intern in Washington, DC

    Pros

It is very intriguing to see everything at work on Capitol Hill, especially the hearings. You get a very good sense on how everything comes together. You are also working with colleagues who are both very well educated and very dedicated to their careers.

    Cons

Apparently, one of the down sides to working in Congress would be the long hours. Be prepared to work a very demanding schedule as a Hill staffer.
