Huge learning experience.

Loaned Executive (Former Employee)
San Antonio, TX

I worked at United Way full-time for less than a year

ProsFlexibility in schedule. Staff is amazing, and everyone loves working there. Lots of fun events, fundraisers, and they have speakers come in from all the local NPO's.

ConsPay isn't so great. Can be demanding sometimes, including weekends and late nights. Hard to obtain a job, unless hired as an intern.

Advice to Senior ManagementGive more opportunities to other entry level employees to begin working for the organization.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Not a strong United Way.

Executive Director (Current Employee)
Elko, NV

I have been working at United Way full-time for more than 3 years

Pros: Raised large amounts of money and supported a large number… Cons: Too dependent on a single corporate donor. Very vulnerable. Advice to Senior Management: Diversify donor base. Strengthen board of directors. No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
