I have been working at UnitedHealth Group

    Pros

The company is stable because it is in a growing industry.

    Cons

Vital sign score is one of the lowest among the UnitedHealth companies. To make it worst, senior leadership have been slashing the SG&A and pushing back hirings, doing everything it can to save a penny at the expense of its employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reward your employees. Learn to do math, it is ridiculous seeing internal candidates turn down a promotion because of lousy raise, while you have no trouble offering an external candidate much higher salary for the same position.

I have been working at UnitedHealth Group

    Pros

Very flexible schedule, generous vacation, office is nice, people are friendly

    Cons

Low pay, Health insurance for employees is low-grade, no where to "move up", no jobs to transfer to, they work you hard and then ask for more. New system "upgrade" has pushed employees to the end of their ropes because of inability to produce the work that is demanded.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop working us to death! This is a healthcare company afterall!
