Not for the faint of heart

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Minnetonka, MN

ProsHigh-profile projects, many businesses within the group. Dynamic. Ambitious people.

ConsCutthroat competitiveness that starts at the top and never stops. If you want to spend half your day making sure someone else gets the blame that something didn't complete the day before it actually began, and you don't mind sacrificing others, it might be the place for you. Benefits are appalling for a healthcare company. Corporate infrastructure is a morass.

Advice to Senior ManagementEncourage more good work and discourage clawing to the top.

I have been working at UnitedHealth Group

Pros: Large company with a diverse culture and sizable career growth opportunities. The company has embraced telecommuting and… Cons: As with most large companies, it is difficult to get things done quickly. Looking back at my time… Advice to Senior Management: Keep communicating with the employees any chance you get. And not just when it is convenient or when there are good news to report.… More
