“Still horrible and the anxiety/stress is increasing...”
I have been working at UnitedHealth Group full-time for more than a year
Pros – Looking for a silver-lining, but not finding one right now.
Cons – I understand there are layoffs happening even though the company makes so much money. Who dares to complain about their job now? Ha. Still crappy upper management; insincere, backstabbing coworkers; no real tangible guidance or leadership from above, etc. Just a very aggressive, dog-eat-dog environment, which shows in everyones' daily behavior. I really hope the economy picks up soon - can't wait to leave. This is one of the best examples of American capitalism at its worst - this place is BULLY CENTRAL. The commercials are right - YOU TRULY ARE A NUMBER.
I have also never understood how a company that is 91% employee-owned can be so susceptible to layoffs, especially in the wake of quarterly earnings in the billions?
Advice to Senior Management – Nothing - hopelessly aggressive company spawns less-than-human robot workers and horrendous management.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
