I have been working at UnitedHealth Group full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Company celebrates its employees , work culture is great
Compensation is at par

Cons

but you cannot be sure for work life balance, you won't have clear directions from onshore idiots, sometime you might waste months in a project with zero results. Offshore management is inefficient.

Advice to Management

have clear directions , listen, respond.

    Pros

It's a job that is as stable as the contract your particular business is under. 401k (with match), IRA, Stock Purchase, Cell Phone discount (~ $0.14/hr), occasional deals on Microsoft products (ex. Office Suite for ~$20). Vacation, Sick, and Personal all draw from one pool (personally I like this).

    Cons

Compensation aims for the 50th percentile (meaning they don't even attempt to be competitive).

Since the beginning of July (after the Supreme Court ruling) there have been "small" batches of layoffs (so they don't hit the news, WSJ, CNBC, Bloomberg, etc). A traveling freeze has been in effect. Downsizing through attrition. Underbidding on contracts.

    Advice to Management

Fire more executives and trim the 7-8 figure compensations. Underbidding and understaffing contracts is just going to ruin reputation and erode morale even further.

Virtual meetings more than in person
Insurance benefits for employees not great
