I have been working at UnitedHealth Group full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    a paid job
    possible work at home
if you are lucky an independant job if your manager is not a micro manager
some good experience to take in your next job

    Cons

goes up through the top bullies for managers who get rewarded and promoted even after horrible evaluations by staff
people are either promoted or hired and others passed on by which are more qualified....because of romantic relationships
company uses you until they have no more use for you. co-workers use people also until they have no more use for you
services are purchased due to previous relationships of the ceo and these services are bad
    this company is so unethical
people are waiting for the shoe to drop to see who will be laid off next while they are hiring hundreds in other cities for the same positions or similiar positions. anyone consider not laying off and transitioning the work rather than new hires?
computer system is awful and another bad one has been implemented. this company does a bad job of building out their systems ever consider buying one from a company who knows what they are doing?
bad decisions in the past will not be changed to to cost but these bad decisions are costing even more. incompetence rules. who you know wins.
not providing the programs the customer is paying for. playing games with reports. its all lies, uhc is not providing the paid for services very unethical company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

stop the good ole boys club..you know who you are. make chicago accountable just like all the other sites and programs
close down the super small sites where it is top heavy with medical directors and management or have the staff report to another site
stop laying off and move these employees to the new jobs you are creating
stop hiring someones boyfriend, girlfriend, romantic partner. everyone knows even though that higher up stays home and sends their assistant we all know that underperforming people who get hired because of their "relationship" and very qualified people do not get promoted. Everyone sees this!
cheaters liars pushing staff to falsely document due to the unreasonable metrics that are expected or staff will be fired
gossipers ect... should not be permitted but it starts with management who by the way are crazy and are permitted to continue their bullying and making their staff both physically and mentally ill. senior leadership is aware and then these people get promoted???
provide the services that your customers are paying for. stop playing with the numbers.
everyone get out as fast as you can

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
