“multiple managers, lack of strategic focus, more talk than business discipline”

I have been working at UnitedHealth Group full-time for more than 3 years

Pros – talented peers, competitive compensation and benefits, opportunity for career moves within the company, diverse business units, respect education and self-directed training

Cons – cutting costs at the expense of profits is the norm, business goals are not followed by action plans, little business discipline to reach performance targets, poor training of junior managers, communication and cooperation between business segments is more hostile than collegial

Advice to Senior Management – talk to front line individuals with more frequency, develop project plans to support one page goals and objectives then measure quarterly and report the results to all staff

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
