I have been working at UnitedHealth Group full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Forward-thinking company with great opportunities if you have the right management overseeing your work.

Cons

Mid-level micromanagement not corrected by too-busy Senior management decreases productivity and causes loss of talent. Conflicts in training program not addressed timely and subsequent impeded workflows become a blame game instead of being seen as an opportunity for improvement. Middle and Senior Management too overloaded to properly address real-time issues of staff.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your staff when they report workflow and non-support issues. Do not keep referring staff back into the same nonproductive loop and giving pat visionary jargon to solve problems.

I worked at UnitedHealth Group full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Being able to work remotely did allow for personal and professional development. I learned skills I don't believe I would have in any other way.

    Cons

Constant change and realignment made it difficult to remember which division you actually worked for. New procedures were constantly being implemented and lead to a great deal of confusion.
