My experience at UnitedHealthcare

Contract Control and Installation (Former Employee)
Minneapolis, MN

I worked at UnitedHealth Group full-time for more than 10 years

ProsInnovate company - cutting edge and trendsetting in healthcare - Believes in cost saving. Large corporation with many facets. Uses international employees

ConsFocus on numbers not people. Upper management says what you want to hear and middle management puts the foot on your neck and makes you produce at any cost. The deliverable will be achieved by ANY means necessary.

Advice to Senior ManagementConnect more with the actual workforce. Take an interest in the employee be a more family based corporation. Have a heart when dealing with employees. Life happens while we are working to achieve the bottom line.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at UnitedHealth Group full-time for more than 10 years

Pros: Coworkers were great! Good physical working environment. Location close to home. Mid-level management was pretty good… Cons: Upper management is lacking ethics and direction is skewed. They only care about the bottom line and do not mind driving the support workers into… Advice to Senior Management: Grow some hair and own up to your mistakes! Stop… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
