Pros

UHG offers very competitive pay. There are many varied positions, and it is a good place to work if you enjoy challenges.

Cons

The culture is very cut-throat. Management has high expectations, but often offers little support. They definitely believe in the stick, rather than the carrot.

Advice to Management

Abandon your ridiculous pretense that the culture has changed. When push comes to shove, performance is the value that rules the day.

    Pros

10/hr. very easy. Some co workers were nice and enjoyable.

    Cons

From day one of training, to now it was very unorganized. When I Interviewed I was lead to believe it was a full time permanent position. Waited three weeks to actually start the job and turned down 2 interview because I was hired with connextions. Day 2 into training they had us all resign a offer letter which stated that the position was seasonal. They did nothing to address the confusion that everyone in our training felt. We had 2 weeks of training when other classes had 6. We basically just read powerpoints and took quizes. The supervisors are clueless about a lot of things. The OM is very short and rude. I learned most if not all of how to do my jobs by co workers. Favortism is very apparent. The new building with its strict rules and prison like security does not reflect the other employees or management. Worked on the Kaiser Permanente Medicare account. Very VERY repetitive.

    Advice to Management

Be honest and upfront with new applicants. Don't give your agents BS answers just to get them to leave you alone. Learn appropriate social skills and don't be so cold or inattentive.
