UnitedHealth Group Anonymous:   (Current Employee)

Pros

They do an ok job of attempting to bring people to a higher level of satisfaction, but they only do it to keep people busy and working, the care factor is low.

Cons

The pay and raises are terrible. If you have potential, you leave. I have to fire people with a great deal of experience, because they are lousy employees, but they are the only ones who stay.

Advice to Senior Management

You get what you pay for and there are some really terrible employees that need to be fired and some horrible managers that couldn't lead a group of lemmings.

How true. I am relatively new to the org and I have already come to the conclusion that as long as I get enough projects to add to my resume I will be ok in a year when I leave. I receive no credit for the work I do outside of meaningless praise. Meanwhile my boss is flying to Minnesota to take credit.

And if anyone is under the illusion the company didn't give raises this year because of the economy- I know people who claim to have not had a raise in 4 years.

Everyone I talk with about this company tells me to get the hell out. The senior leadership at my last company told me I was making a mistake going to United. How right they all are...
