I have been working at UnitedHealth Group

Pros

You are able to grow with the company. With locations all over the country you can move to other offices, work from home, or other flexable arangement.

Cons

The insureance we get offered. The accounts that we service have better coverage then we get offered. Our pay, last year we did not receive rasies, but as a company we had 70 billion in sales.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay us more, give us better insureance coverage, improve commuication to employees, and you will have a workforce that will fight really hard to do what you ask when the time comes that we have to chagne the way we operate.

Former Employee - Claims Processor in Manchester, NH

    I worked at UnitedHealth Group

    Pros

flexible schedule depending on who your boss is

    Cons

software they use to bundle and auto process claims is notoriously wrong causing on going issues of inaccurate denials. as a processor, I saw these issues brought to management, but it was usually up to the provider or patient to call on a claim--very rarely did they automatically reprocess denied claims for known systems issues.
just another hoop for dr's to jump through in order to be reimbursed

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

thousands of employees working for a health insurance company should be able to get better insurance benefits than $2500 deductible!!
