I worked at UnitedHealth Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

This company does strive for work/life balance with it's employees. There are multiple opportunities for community involvement (or not), professional development and career advancement if you take advantage of it. Safe and clean work environments, benefits selection and advanced educational reimbursement if requirements are met. I would return should the right opportunity present itself.

    Cons

Somewhat political, very corporate in structure including the red tape that goes along with a large company, some pockets of cliques among management, company values are strong but not always evident in all facets of the company. Technology is not on the cutting edge, although they do try to stay current.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remember that your position as leaders includes being mentors to your employees and that the position is not just another rung on the ladder.

    Approves of CEO
