I worked at Univar

Pros

The pay was decent (if viewed from an annual basis) and the benefits were generous. There isn't much more good to say.

Cons

Where to begin: The annual salary is decent, but be aware you may work 60-70 hours a week. If the management/ownership would decide what they want from the beginning, you wouldn't have to be repeating tasks over and over again. The planning systems are a joke.

I have been working at Univar

    Pros

    Family culture
    Good benefits
    Understadning staff and mangement
But this is a great opportunity for the current and prospective employees.

    Cons

The rate of change is something the company is experiencing for the first time . hence it is chaotic. Growing Pains.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Employees are the reasons for the company's success. If they are happy the company will succeed. The more transparent that you are with employees the greater chance for success.

    Pros

    Industry. Reorganization. Private company. Global

    Cons

Lack of management and direction. Descentralized organization with no common purpose for growth, discipline and market opportunities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Centralized decision making (specialy European Area and Units). Look for a better program to take care of ermployees.
