Pros

UHS has been performing well, even in very tough economic times. Managment has done a nice job of letting employees know what is going on and how the company doing. I realy believe I am making a differce! While other companies are layinng off employees, cutting or freezing salaries and benefits, and making emloyees do with less -- UHS is doing just the opposite -- hiring, giving raises, and providing employees with more and more tools.

Cons

Customers are demanding and sometimes unrealistic in thier expectations. Company has gone above and beyond for them so long that sometimes it is hard to meet elevated expectations. Company has made a lot or changes, keeping up with change is had for some employees.

Advice to Management

I donn't know how you do it -- but keep doing it!

    Pros

Extremely sucessful and stable comapany in good times and bad. Good Management team that works hard and is interested in hearing what employees have to say. This company is very focused on their Customers and developing relationships that are for the long term. "Do the right thing" is not just an expression.

    Cons

Customer focus and unrelenting customer service orientation makes for some long days when things get busy. Steep learing curve -- UHS manages over 5,000 different types of medical equipment. However, if you like a job that never gets boring -- its the place for youl.

    Advice to Management

What ever you are doing --keep doing it. This team has not had a down year since the 80s!
