I have been working at Universal Studios part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

free park admission for employees, for hired part timers, easily getting full time hours.

    Cons

crappy pay, seasonal part timers, easily work 35 hours a week if not more, but get no benefits, no vacation, nothing..... managers play favoritism towards employees, employees tend to get the same crappy shift day after day, no change in shifts, becomes extremely boring after working the same shift everyday. you only get one holiday off, and if you dont kiss managements ass you get the crappy ones over the good ones (i.e christmas)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

dont treat you part timers like crap, dont over work them and then give them nothing in return because you technically dont have too. Have a heart around holidays, and dont make all your newly part timers work both christmas shifts. realize that most your employees are putting in more hours then you are. Have more of an input in your employees request, and not just hand them off to the ast. managers to walk all over.
