I have been working at University College London

    Pros

A university is a good employer. The pay covered my tuition fees for a PhD and living expenses. It is nice to be around eager young and optimistic minds.

    Cons

It is not a great place to work if one does not enjoy teaching. Unfortunately a large number of students are more interested in getting a degree than learning to think

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Raising fees will possibly allow market forces to make the university more effective as a learning institution, and hopefully improve the standard of teaching.

I have been working at University College London

    Pros

This is a place that you can grow in intellect and personally in all ways which is a benefit to everyone

    Cons

The hours can be long but this is usually self inflicted and can change if you want it to over time

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You are doing a great job in a time of adversity (regarding the occupation of the university recently which you have dealt with very well).
