Pros

Flexible hours, awesome bosses. Good pay and work on campus so you are close to good food and things to do.

Cons

Coworkers are students so they are not the best at showing up for their shift or being professional.

    -Well-structured and well-informed leadership.
    -Good pay for an on-campus/workstudy job.
    -Lots of room for growth, promotion and development of IT skills

    -Work tasks can get a little monotonous at times: (e.g. replacing printer toner)
    -At times you can get stuck working with unmotivated students

    I have been working at University of California Berkeley full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Good benefits, some good staff, excited students. Work/life balance is attainable.

    Cons

    Low pay, disorganized and inefficient organizational structure, lack of funding. Some staff very complacent. Rarely got a raise, even for cost of living. Little opportunity for career advancement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Centralize, streamline, organize. Use the money saved to keep tuition low and pay staff what they deserve. Offer paths and opportunities for career advancement.
