    Pros

Great scientific environment, with a lot of top game scientist. The graduate students and postdocs are also of the highest quality. An open and friendly work environment, with a high degree of team spirit and team work. The technical facilities are of high quality. There is a good mix of different nationalities and a willingness to do interdisciplinary work. The variety of research makes it possible to broaden ones scientific horizon.

    Cons

The universities has a lack of suitable workspace. The buildings are worn down. The credit crisis is working to increase this effect, maybe this will clear up along with the Californian economy.

    Advice to Management

Prioritize the physical work environment, it seems like focus has to a high degree been on hiring high profile researchers and not providing a modern work environment

  2. Good place to work, but maybe not for life

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

You're constantly around students and professionals that have education as a priority - people tend to have more interesting conversations and so work passes more quickly when you're doing a monotonous task. The work was fairly enjoyable and you're given a lot of freedom with a clear bureaucracy (though there is an obvious hierarchy to get things done through and it's not exactly expedient).

    Cons

Still a large "company" with lots of regulations
Pay is alright but by no means exemplary

    Advice to Management

Doing a good job at encouraging employees to work hard by not breathing down their necks!
