I have been working at University of Cambridge full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Cambridge is a top university in the world, and as such you have access to very intelligent students, as well as considerable prestige when at conferences and the like. Being at Cambridge will look good on your CV and potentially open future careers opportunities

    Cons

It's a universal truth of academia, but your experience of Cambridge will depend completely on the personality of the PI you are working for. Job security also isn't great now that research funding has been but so badly, and salaries are pretty meagre. You have to do it for the love of the work.
