I have been working at University of Central Arkansas

    Pros

    Friendly coworkers
    Attractive campus
    Great community
    Supportive peers
    Flexible work schedule
Many people in the staff have been working there for years

    Cons

The pay is not the best, and raises are slow and small (but that's a government issue)
Not many great opportunities for advancement

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve the communication channels between the higher management and lower management. If not, then cut some off the levels in the middle to flatten the organizational structure.

    Pros

UCA offers tuitiion reimbursement, so you can continue your education. They have some great Masters level and PhD level programs. The workout facility is nice and the campus is beautiful.

    Cons

UCA is a challenging place for minorities. Also, you are often required to work a huge amount of overtime without being compensated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have your management lever personnel take a management course where they are informed of the laws regarding weekly work schedules. Also, upper management needs to be trained on topics pertaining to diversity and race relations.

    No opinion of CEO
