I have been working at University of Chicago full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Good benefits, safe neighborhood, tons of facilities nearby, good cultural attractions on campus, stimulating, smart colleagues. Also, the campus is beautiful.

Cons

Everything is overmanaged and mismanaged, with nepotism and corruption reigning supreme. People try their best, but the structure of the University often does not allow for effective communication, cooperation, and lacks broad direction.

    Pros

UC is famous for 80+ Nobel laureates and you can why it is so. All the departments are filled with some of the brightest minds. Amazing place to work

    Cons

No well defined career paths in some departments. Especially non-scientific and technical positions.

I have been working at University of Chicago as an intern for more than 3 years

    Pros

The U of C has a huge number of incredibly intelligent people, most of whom have a strong interest in their field and are very nice.

    Cons

Though the people are very intelligent, they do not practice 'logical thinking' and 'human interaction' very well. There is a lot that goes wrong because everyone is thinking too far above the problem at hand.

    Neutral Outlook
