I have been working at University of Chicago full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Great intellectual environment. People are respected for their ideas above all else.

Cons

Heavily bureaucratic culture. Very top-down and fearful at times.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Empower employees to propose and pursue new ideas. Perhaps a competition similar to the Uncommon Fund organized for undergraduates.

I have been working at University of Chicago

    Pros

UChicago is really flexible if you are in a student position and considerate of your time constraints regarding class, exams, etc. They're also nice in that they will sometimes hire students after graduation if you haven't found a job.

    Cons

Unfortunately, if you're a transplant from another organization, the general low productivity and management standards and mediocre salary & benefits will leave something to be desired.

    No opinion of CEO
