I have been working at University of Connecticut full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Diverse and vibrant research community. Great academic culture. Helpful support staff. Large and open campus. Close enough to Boston and New York for the weekend!

    Cons

Somewhat isolated on a day to day basis with minimal social venues. Storrs is tiny but being revamped! Willimantic isn't the nicest city but has most things people would need.
