I have been working at University of Edinburgh full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Great environment, friendly people, progressive culture, high quality colleagues, high quality students, good payment, good work life balance, good library, career service,provision of funding, recently built buildings

Cons

bad weather, The tuition will probably be high, many students which often makes it noisy,some books in the library are old, some times students aren't too efficient and they require lots of out of classroom help.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

The reputation could be much improved through the organisation of conferences

    Funding problems, not enough support in research.

    Do not accept a PhD student if you are not able to support his/her research.
