I worked at University of Exeter part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Very flexible, can work as much or as little as you want, get the opportunity to meet lots of people, good for honing communication skills, can work on some exciting events, get to learn more about the university

    Cons

Be sure to apply for lots of work every month as it is unlikely that you will be selected for many actual jobs, can involve lots of time spent outdoors in inclement weather, sometimes the worst part can be the other ambassadors you work with..

I have been working at University of Exeter full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Member of Russel group, good library, new buildings are beautiful and well designed. My research group was nice.

    Cons

A bit sloppy staff, expensive food and not enough places to eat in the evening. My office was badly furnished, a bit crowded, and with no ventilation and ineffective insulation. I think it wouldn't have been legal to work in a building like that in other European countries. Few science activities in my department
