I have been working at University of Florida full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The Conference Department management really cares about the department's employees. If you're a good worker - punctual, attentive, organized - they will take care of you. I've never seen a place that is so easy going with time-off requests.

    Cons

No opportunity for advancement. It's a small department and the boss is very competent, and he's not going anywhere. However, there is opportunity to transfer within the University.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue allowing the Conference Department to operate without you meddling.

I have been working at University of Florida

    Pros

Lots of ways to become connected through clubs and organizations. Great professional opportunities and huge career fairs just about every semester.

    Cons

It's a fairly small college town and there is not too much to do (other than party and get drunk). Although there are a lot of ways to become involved, there is often a lot of unnecessary drama between people and even organizations at times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More career development opportunities. You can never have enough career development opportunities.
