Pros

If you find a good lab, you can have a great experience. Great pay for a graduate program. Some very interesting work being done.

Cons

Some departments are less nurturing to their students than others. Graduate college means well but doesn't always know the right direction to go

Advice to Management

Be more proactive in making improvements to the grad program

    Pros

Many resources, tuition paid for employees, great mentors within specialty areas of nursing!
    Ability to be autonomous.
Great reputation in the nursing community-worldwide!
Many opportunities to get involved in research, volunteering, or the local community!
    Very well-prepared faculty-committed to students!

    Cons

    Many faculty-sometimes overwhelming.
Have to be assertive to get your needs heard/met.
Poor salary. Much below the national average for faculty.
A better orientation would be helpful, especially for new faculty.
Poorly organized clinical placement procedure-students & faculty don't know where they will be going until the last minute!

    Advice to Management

    Offer more specific mentoring programs.
