I have been working at University of Louisville

Pros

The university of Louisville is the largest metro research university in the state of kentucky. The University is growing very fast. The city of louisville is a fun place to live.

Cons

There is not much to complain about when considering about the university's environment. Wish the schools grow faster and make more contribution on our understanding of nature and health.

I have been working at University of Louisville

    Pros

Vacation, retirement, insurance benefits, educational benefits

    Cons

Some areas have no leadership whatsoever and individuals do not communicate with anyone outside their good ole boys network. Do not be fooled by "Advavcement." nothing is advanced about it. Those with the knowledge to improve things are pushed aside so the good ole boys can secure their positions and take care of their friends. Great employees come and go or they push them out while the dead weight remains. The top level allows the middle to repeat the same garbage over and over instead of listening to everyone involved from the bottom up. If there is a problem, they ask the source of that problem, so they never hear the truth. The middle is so bogged down with their politics that they don't want it to change. Many have never worked anywhere else and are extremely protective over keeping things as they have always known it. Looking elsewhere before that mentality rubs off.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let some new blood implement modern business practices. Change that middle layer that keeps holding things back and feeding you invalid information.
