I have been working at University of Maryland full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Outstanding staff and administration that is seeking creative solutions and thinking. Great diversity in student body makes teaching more interesting and challenging.

Cons

No real downside, except commuting can be pretty tough. If coming in from Baltimore - it is easy.

I have been working at University of Maryland full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

good place, good acdemic enviroment, always have famous scholars visiting here and giving talks. All the staff are kind and warm hearted.

    Cons

The living expense is relatively high, ranking top five cities all over US. which means, you have to use half your salary to rent a apartment. and most likely you have to share it with someone else.
