Former Intern - General Technician Assistant in College Park, MD
Former Intern - General Technician Assistant in College Park, MD

I worked at University of Maryland as an intern (more than 3 years)

Pros

Worked while attending school, (was) close to campus, given opportunities to pick up certain skill

Cons

Paid very little for the work I was doing, shops are disconnected from each other, poor communication

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Individual shops are operating fine but the upper management need to get on the same page and actually hear what employees think about how things are run. At least once a week we would talk about how poorly in general FM is run.
