Pros

The University of Maryland at College park was a great first place to work. Coming directly out of an Undergraduate program at a different school, i was truly amazed of the campus. The opportunities to take part in a great research program was outstanding. The programs here are well funded and well supported by the senior leadership. This commitment to excellence shows by the caliber of students and staff. It was a pleasure to work there.

Cons

The pay in the university are lower than what equivalent positions would command in private industry. The campus is rather large, and can be difficult to get around, especially on the very hot and humid days in mid summer.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is no negative feedback for the Senior Management at the University of Maryland. The support that they offer faculty, staff, and students is truly commendable.
