Good academics occasionally visit
Good location close to CBD
Slightly less bureaucratic than state government

Cons

Steadily increasing bureaucracy at the expense of productivity.
Full of lazy and uninspiring academics with low ambition
Not a good place for ambitions people
Excessive focus on advertising and manufacturing 'excellence' to attract foreign students
Decades behind the cutting edge in research

Advice to ManagementAdvice

You can't run a University like McDonald's. Re-orient the focus on substance rather than profit. The performance management culture and glossy brochures scare away good academics.

    fruitful collaborations
    most things on site but separated by walks through nice surroundings
    easy to talk to students, lecturers, and co-workers

    Cons

    harder for international people to compete for jobs at times
    geographically very distinct from collaborators in Europe and the US - makes international meetings harder

    ask workers about best plans to reorganize work spaces. They know more (if not best) what's needed where.
