University of Michigan Health System Employee Review

Current Employee – been working at University of Michigan Health System

Pros – Benefits are great including a 10% Retirement match i.e. employee contributes 5 % U/M contributes 10%. Can accrue up to 384 hours of PTO time. Can freely use PTO time. Very diverse staff including people from every corner of the world. We have lots of women in prominent positions including Ora Pescovitz, Mary Sue Coleman, Benji Johnson...the list goes on and on.

Cons – Salaries could be a bit better. Easy to get lost in a place with so many employees.

Advice to Senior Management – Please don't implement major systems without taking the time needed to test and train and please remember that you have lots of staff who could and would help if they were included.
