University of Minnesota – “Need for focus ...”
Pros
Great talent pool, both on faculty and amongst students. Long tradition of research & academic rigour. Strong public support and very supportive staff.
Cons
Over ambitious upper management. The goals set a few years ago were/are almost Orwellian. What is being sacrificed is brushed aside, not even 'collateral damage' !
Advice to Senior Management
the emperor has no clothes !
